The Day After Super Tuesday

While I was asleep, it appeared Biden won Texas while Maine still remained a tossup. 

Sanders supposedly won California, but his margin wasn't as expected, and there are still millions of ballots outstanding before the final apportionment of delegates can be determined.

In other words, Sanders got the shit kicked out of him after all the media hype he was going to run the table last night.  Warren also got trounced, most embarrassingly in her own state, a state where winner Biden spent just $11,000 in.  She came in third there.

Was it because she was a woman?  Was it because voters there were pissed off she ran for president in the first place? Did voters want her to remain in the Senate rather than go on a fool's quest?    Or was her pandering to transactivists at the expense of women's rights a factor, as she was the ONLY candidate who went out of her way to pander to them?  Pete Buttigieg did not do this, but Warren would pander to these people almost on a daily basis to the point it was embarrassing when she read off the names of the very, very, very few "trans women" (i.e., male crossdressers) who were murdered as opposed to the names of the 1,600 WOMEN who are murdered each year because of domestic violence.  It was very alienating to women like me and one of the reasons I rejected her candidacy early on.

I think the biggest reason Sanders got the shit kicked out of him last night lies in the simple fact there were and are very few caucuses this time around.  Sanders and his goons got to pack the caucuses last time, and packing those caucuses plus winning the California primary in 2016 made him competitive with the eventual winner, Hillary Clinton.  One of the reforms Clinton proposed after the 2016 elections was eliminating the caucus system.  The caucus system is too flawed, though fun to participate in, with peer pressure more than candidate support being the important factor in the selection of said candidate.

Sanders will remain in the contest to try and further ratfuck the Democratic Party and sow division in its ranks.  His ego is too monstrous to be reined in.  Warren and Bloomberg should seriously consider getting  out.

Biden was always going to be the nominee the minute he announced his candidacy.  The field never should have been as big as it was in the primary season.

Billionaire Bloomberg Has Spent a Lot of Time

declaring war on lowly public school teachers in his city, which is nothing short of a disaster:

A well run school system for Bloomberg is one in which teachers are not really teachers but kind of low level bureaucrats/ trainers who refer to the data driven system to learn what a student knows or needs to know and then fills the student’s head with the missing data. In time, so the thinking goes, this process prepares said students to compete successfully in the ever more competitive global economy. In a well-run school system such low-level bureaucrats/ trainers have no rights and therefore no need for a union to protect their non-existent rights. Their work will be judged on an annual basis according to how well or poorly their students achieve on multiple-choice tests, a true and objective measure of both student learning and teacher/ trainer competency.

The principal in a well run school – preferably 25 -30 years old with little or no teaching experience and a graduate of Bloomberg’s Leadership Academy – should behave not like a principal — which is to say, the lead teacher — but rather like a CEO, ever mindful of the rising or falling test scores, ever vigilant for slackers, techno heresy and noncompliant thinkers of any kind.

He or she should also talk a great deal about the need for community.

In short, for Bloomberg a well-run school system looks amazingly like Bloomberg L.P., the financial software service company that Bloomberg and Bloomberg alone ruled with an iron hand and a steely eye and which earned him his billions and billions and billions of dollars.

What a goddamned disaster awaits Democrats if this fool becomes the nominee. I'll tell you this: Crossover voting and caucuses need to be banned by the DNC and the different states. What we've seen here is a concerted attempt by many Republicans to ratfuck our primaries.

Since John McCain will likely be the 44th president of the United States, Michael Bloomberg might not make good his threat to run for the White House after all.

I Hope

Mayor Bloomberg takes this guy's advice and not run for president:

"I'll tell you exactly what I told him: I'm totally opposed to Michael Bloomberg as an independent candidate for president, and I am a great fan of Michael Bloomberg.

"Michael Bloomberg has been a great entrepreneur, he's a great mayor and he'd be a great philanthropist, and I'd hate to see a future entry in the encyclopedia: 'Michael Bloomberg, great spoiler.' He can't win, but he could very likely defeat the Democratic nominee."

Hess' reasoning is very simple: Although some polls show Bloomberg drawing from both Republican and Democratic voters, the mayor's strength lies in blue states such as California, New York and Illinois.

"He's not going to do well in Alabama, Mississippi and Wyoming. He's not going to take away from the Republican base. What are you left with? I worry about it," said Hess.

This is Scary Shit

if Hillary Clinton is the nominee.

You see, there is a three-point plan for the GOP to retain power in the fall. Plan A is to marginalize by far the most electable Democratic candidate, John Edwards, by enlisting the media's help, hoping the voters will fall for it (unfortunately, many do).

Then, with Edwards out of the way, work on Plan B, which is to try and get Barack Obama the nomination and therefore not have to resort to anything other than the usual smears to get a 50-state blowout in the fall.

But if Obama falters, which is probable, put into operation Plan C in wrecking Hillary Clinton's chances by encouraging a third-party run by Mike Bloomberg. Given the fact Clinton is very unpopular with many Democrats, Bloomberg could siphon literally millions of votes from her, votes she desperately needs to even be competitive with the likely GOP presidential nominee, John McCain.

All three of these scenarios are horrible, but one or more of these is sure to happen.

The big story of the day, some $5 billion worth, is the defection of New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg from the GOP, after he defected from the Democratic Party to the GOP in order to run against Mark Green back in 2002.

Gossip is running rampant he will attempt to buy the presidency by running an independent campaign.
